valve cover

Hey guys, so yesterday i decided to take off the paint from my valve cover and make leave it gray. Today i just put the valve cover back on, and my headers started smoking? Im not sure if its just oil that dripped. Has anyone ever had these problems?

yes u probably spilt some oil on it after few minutes of idling or driving it will go away. and dont leave it grey.......... paint it

Alrighty it kind of startled me lol and yes i will be painting it, just finding a cool design for it. But ever since i took out of valve cover and placed it back, my exhaust seems to be producing white smoke. I'll be checking it again tomorrow morning.
