Unstable revs on D14A4


Have you had any work done on it recently? If not, try adjusting the throttle cable. D14's should be at about 1200 revs on cold start and between 700-800 after warming up.

No, just bought it. I think previous owner had changed fuel injector - looks like newer then others.
Ill try to check throttle cable, but wondering why its happening. Cos im not touching throttle but revs living they own life.:angry:
 
most likely culprit is your IACV (idle air control vavle) it got stuck in mine after it was sitting for a while. i fixed it by taking it off and turning the cylinder inside until it was operating right.
 
Could be the IACV as that usually tends to make your revs go crazy if its loose or not fitted properly. I think there was a thread on how to clean it properly somewhere on the forum, probably the DIY section. Injectors shouldn't really affect revs.
