Was in halfords today, wasnt sure what to get.

Get a choice of the Hammterite Waxoyl Rustproofing or the Hammerite Underbody Seal with waxoyl.

Which is best to use?

Underseal was only in black (and already got a tub in the garage) but already has the waxoyl which i guess is the hammerite waxoyl rustproofing?

And the hammerite waxoyl rustproofing is clear.

i prefer waxoyl as it can be steam cleaned off and redone again rather that underseal i think its a tad messy imo

cool, is that the only advantage? used the black body seal on my old saxo and it was messy tbh.

See halfords do a spraygun to for just the waxoyl.

the factory is only 10 minutes up the road never knew that ha might pop in and ask...

Its probably best to get the rustproofing i would have thought.

I agree with J700ock the waxoyl way is less messy than the underseal route and easier to remove if need be.

have a look at dinitrol products they do specific products for different applications.
Dinitrol - Rust Prevention Waxes and Oils

we use their products on our Boeing aircraft fleet which see the worst environmental conditions going.

Mines getting dinitrol'd. I'm going for a soft layer so that it gets into all the tiny gaps then topping it off with there hard wax. Then also going to strip the rear and get some bilt hamer cavity wax on the rear arches from inside.

It should keep it rust free for years!!!
