Having read some bits and bobs on the net, from what i can see a turbo is better suited to the vtec engines? due to being high revving and turbos producing their power further up the band.

obviously both TC and SC have pros and cons, but was wandering what sort of costs involved to carry out a conversion?

i dont need to worry about labour costs as i will be doing the work myself and with the help of a mechanic-for the cost of some beers!

ideally a parts list would be great, and any companies that do the kits also!

cheers

Superchargers are not suitable for the B-series in my opinion, i was passenger in three cars so far, none of em really impressed me, good torque and respnse down low, but in higher rpm`s they totally fell on their faces, had the impression the superchargers steal more power than they produce (i know its not the case, just feels like it).

On V8`s its a different story, i just think superchargers on 4 bangers are not that effective.

sc are useless on b series engines but a sc on a k series pulls well so for b series go tc, a freind of mine recently turbo'd his b16a and as far as i can mind, he spent about 3k or so but he then ended up having to buy a garrett turbo at 1k as the cheap one he had on was no good even tho is was new.

Mate, don't listen to what the internet says. My Jackson racing charged B16B made 240bhp at 6psi.
