Do any of you guys bother with track insurance in the uk or just risk it?
Also any kind of track recovery, ive been to the nurburgring and have seen its more vital there.

I looked into it, if you want decent cover you're looking at around £140 per track day!
Which would make the track day so expensive.
I didn't bother and took the risk, the way I see it, it's the risk you take when you go on track...

Never had track insurance, I've even lost a car on a trackday and still don't use the insurance.
There was a story not long ago where someone hit a purpose built car on track and the insurer came after the third party for the costs, pretty sure they dropped it after it all blew up on social media and everyone threatened to boycott the insurer.

Ive been looking at this uk company really good price, excess is 750, recovery is 12.50
This is a quote i got for rockingham on 17/4/16.
If anyone wants me to post a link to the company i will do

We offer track day cover to existing customers costs vary from £45-£65 depending on individual circumstances. We only cover UK Tracks and exclude Castle Combe due to the MASSIVE claim ratio (quarry corner).

So if any Greenlight Customers were considering track day we can look to help with insurance if required.

Kind Regards
Neil

Have you looked at the policy wording doesnt appear to cover engine/transmission damage and limits garage labour to £50 per hour including vat. It also excludes any interior damage from airbag deployment?
