Toyo Trampio R8881

Never heardof these, should be interesting if anyone has.

These are just Toyo r888's ? Trampio is the asian name AFAIK

From what I read there ok. Most still prefer the RA-1 over the R888 cause the RA-1 is more consistent for the life of the tire. They say the R888 heat cycles fast and grip drops off somewhat fast once it starts to wear down.

Proxes R888 ... Had them on my past ek9.
You need to warm them up. Cant drive them in the rain.
Super jump starts !
Slamming 2nd gear in , you will feel the car breaking down. 3rd-4th gear m no the best felt the car bit slowed down.
Cornering - Super tyers ;)

Very nice and sticky...

They're a track tyre so personally I wouldn't buy if they're only going to be used on the road. They're very noisey, they wear relatively quickly, not great for aquaplaning and they're pretty expensive.

R888s do work pretty much from cold and in terms of actual wet grip, they're pretty awesome, they just don't cope with deep puddles very well.

I use mine for 80% of the time on the road... and they're great!

Not good on long journeys though... head ache inducing... LOL

as said awesome tyres, Very headache inducing tho on long journeys in a stripped out car as mentioned, sounds like your inside a supercharger / or being very closely followed by an aeroplane lol

loads of grip, even in light rain.. warmup pretty fast too

noise is definitly a downside

I did quite a few laps at Cadwell in the wet last week with R888s and up untill there was standing water they still offered fantastic grip
