Hey all, thought I'd stick a thread up on here to say hi.

I'm poss in the market for either an ek9 or dc2 as I fancy some b series vtec and potentially to go turbo'd at a later date. I currently drive a ep3 with some nice mods but as it is purely a weekend car Im after something a little rawer that I can seriously enjoy driving when I do.

Here's the ep3 in question

Running:
toda exhaust system
Japspeed header
Tegiwa m u take
Meister r's
Jdm ARB
Evo enkeis

Plus more :)

Would I regret going from the ep3 to an ek9??

I have both but I wouldn't swap either 1 of them for the other if that makes sense. Ha

What is there to think about?
Other than the engine ep3 is worse in every way.

welcome to the forum mate, nice ep.
As said you certainly wont regret it... much fun :D

the ep3 you have is a nice example mate, but the ek9 and dc2 have that bit more rawness about them which make them through great type r's and great drivers car,

Leeroy I'm also thinking the same thing, my ep3 is for sale

Hey fella, saw your is up for grabs. I may go down the swap part or ex route if I can otherwise I'll prob break the civic to recoup monies for the mods in the car.

Looks more than likely I'll be getting either a ek9 or dc2 though :)

Yeah I got to sell the ep3, I'm looking at using torque gt as an agent to import me one over , great minds think alike a? Ep3 is such a good car but I'm just not attached to it there's nothing special about it really , ek9 has so much heritage and is such an awesome car, I need a passenger ride or rest drive to be sure before parting with the money

Keep it. a 9 would be slower until FI'ing it, although more involving.

Really?

Also, in regards to importing a fresh one.
I hope you have deep pockets, nice ones are cheaper here than Japan at the moment!
And that's pre all the fees and hassle of importing, registering etc

Never said mine, mean both std to 100 I recon.

Yours is an ek9 that isn't FI. :secret:

No one in there right mind would boost a b16b,
But anyway I think we both agree that an ep3 is faster in a straight line stock vs stock
