What did you make the mould from? Fibreglass and gelcoat? How do you stop it from permanantly sticking to the oem part?

looks very intersting i have also wanted to start making carbon i can mould make fibreglass already
and mould realease is used to stop it from permantly sticking to oem part

yes fibreglass and gelcoat to make the mould and i use a product called honeywax( its almost like a very thick car wax to stop the mould from sticking

ive put a hell of a lot of work into making the panel smooth with bodyfiller. it turns out the oem panels under the numberpate are not straight at all so i thought it was best to do it .

very sorry ive not been on for a bit guys , ive been moving so its all been a bit manic lately ..

vacume bag its not needed for most carbon stuff but as homebargains had them for 50p i thought why not

just a quick try on car but still needs polish n trim

i gave the center a quick polish by hand is it came up nice , ive trimmed the edges with shears but now they just need a quick sand to get the perfect shape .
