Hi all, have done a bit of searching but choosing a turbo for the B-series is a bit of a minefield! On a standard engine aiming for no more than 300bhp would you recommend a T25 type flange or T3? Any turbo's to look out for specifically, lag is my main concern :)

I would personally go for a t3 style inlet flange, if for what ever reason you decide you want more power (boost is like crack) you will have more options as to what turbo you can use with the t3 flange.

I have thought about this before to and what i came up with was a t28rs turbo, perfect size for the 1.6/1.8 engine, quick spooling to because of its size, if you go on the garett website you can see all the compressor maps for their turbos and it might help you choose one

As above, t28 is perfect choice for quick spool and around 300bhp :)

I have a t3/to4b (a bit smaller than the to4e) and is spool fast, this turbo is good for 350bhp. A better choice is a gt28 series.
