It's way past time for me to put my B16B in a car of some sort - I'd hoped to get a VTi but they're thin on the ground. I have done some searching on the forum but haven't found anything that addresses this:
What's needed mechanically to replace an auto with a B16B? I doubt the engine mounts will be right, and the gear stick will be needed.

So far:
* Gear Linkage
* Pedal Box
* Clutch master cylinder
* ODB2A Loom and ECU
* Dash instruments.

Cheers

You will need loom depending on obd2a (96-98) obd2b (99-00) ecu drives gear linkage pedals mounts box and if your engine is missing any ancillarys ..?

Would help if your abit more in depth with the details...

For a start is the car you wish to put the B16B in a honda?

If not then it'll be custom mounts - then you have drive shafts, gear linkages, the loom needs to be changed, alot of **** if its not a honda to start with as a base.

Cheers Crissy, plain forgot about pedal box.

Joe - sorry the car, local to me is a 97 Civic 1.6i ES 3dr Auto, seems to be in nice condition and is relatively local to me.

Loom I'm not worried about as I'm currently making a custom one

Don't be sorry mate just trying to help you out!

I'm pretty sure hybrid racing or hasport mounts or the likes will offer mounts to house the new engine if not i'm also sure mounts from other cars will work - custom loom FTW.

get a pic of the bay up mate!

Its just a cost analysis thing at the moment, theres no EK4 VTi models around near me at the moment, and I feel the need to get something done on this project after a year of no money.
