Swapping ECU's - Just Plug and Play?

Hi, i just bought an EK9 ecu for my ek4. I disconnected the battery and plugged the ek9 ecu in. I havent yet connected the battery yet cause i just want to make sure if it is as simple as just plugging out my old ecu and plugging in the new?? Please let me asap cause i want to get the car out on the road to see what she feels like. Thanks.

As long as its the same obd2 series ecu. Meaning if it plugged right in then yea its that simple.

Let us know how the ecu performs on the EK4, might be some other people looking to upgrade as well.
