I'm swapping the engines in my two civic, 97 cx, 00 cx. The 97 has a 00 JDM itr swap, and the 00 is stock. Well I'm want to swap the two engines and I know the 00 civic is obd2b and the 97/itr is obd2a.

Ok so to make this work for the 97 civic work with a 00 engine I will need to swap the ecu for a OBD2A and use a Adapter Harness OBD II OBD2A - OBD2B

But Im not really sure what to do with the 00 civic with the ITR, I can get a adapter harness but since the ecu, harness, and engine are OBD2A, but I dont think that would do anything. So what do I plug the dash harness in to?

Cant you run a OBD2B engine harness from any B series, IE ek9 or ek4, use the OBD2A ECU with an adaptor harness to plug it into the OBD2B dash harness.

from what I've read all the ITR's are obd2a, But thats what Im thinking Im going to have to do. swap the harness.

Ok so I picked up a 2000 b16a engine harness. Well I believe it should plug in to all the connectors on the b18c. If I buy a adaptor will I need to do anything to the main harness for it to work?
