Theres the spoon, mugen and honda acccess suspension which are apparently all the same and made by showa.

Ive got the honda access and are perfect for bad roads with 5 way adjustable damping and slight drop in ride height

As above ^^

Spoon springs and shocks or the likes of eibach springs and bilstein dampers are great for the road, I have to used that setup a few times myself

meister-r make a road specific coilover with softer spring rates and valving and they are also very good on the road... most of the JDM coilovers are rock hard

They will not lower the car very much but you can’t have a low car and as much comfort there is always a compromise

I've currently got a set of Koni Yellow dampers (which are only about £100 a corner) and some eibach springs. My car does sit relatively low at the front and higher at the rear (as there is no weight in there) on this combination but they are really comfy for the road. They have a small amount of dampening adjustability but you can actually notice it working unlike some coilovers.

I got my setup from TGM second hand for a steal, but given the choice of a simple damper spring setup I would either go with the Bilstien and eibach springs or the spoon setup.

Coilovers I can't comment on as I haven't tried any, but I have just bought a set of Meister R GT1's to try out!
