So apparently Spoon installed the S2K rear diffuser on their K swapped EK hatch:

If they did it I wonder if it's actually functional?
I can't find it for sale anywhere...
Looks AMAZING on this S2K:

i have yet to see that civic in any sort of best motoring video

for the money id imagine it would be you could make your own full flat underbody that actually works

That is what I want. A functional one. That Spoon one looks SICK though.

From what I have read about the EK9 the rear bumper tends to act as a bit of an air brake. I figure this diffuser closes the gap between the under body and the rear edge of the bumper meaning air can flow much quicker under the car. I wouldn't know if it has any affect on down force etc. If you look on here there is a EK9 rally car (I *think* it is championshipwhite's brothers) which has the rear bumper cut in order to let the air pass a lot easier. I guess it is pretty functional if your at high speed :nice:

Hope this qualifies as a useful, question answering post! ha.

LoL @ Jaws...I think the best diffuser would be one that covers the whole underside of the vehicle to provide no "air dam" effect. A rear defuser that covers at least the gas tank area to the back bumper would be effective as well but not as effective as one use in GT class racing.

Dino, you win hard. It does seem like it's not a full underspoiler though.

How much would that set you back??
And I say it'd be a pain for changing the exhaust for a Nct or for doing an oil change even!!

Looks mint though

Yep, that's right, I would do it to my own car as well but it looks rubbish :D

i want 1 ima look out for it on the net it look sick on the s2k

...looking into fabing these for civic's.

I have a few questions if anyone can help, would be appreciated.

Input/help need with is the rear section, the defuser at the very tail end of the Spoon version. Does this section really need to be so ugly?

Would prefer to have a flat as possible front 3/4 section [with oil pan access panel] and a separate rear 1/4 section with the option to go low profile/flat design--OR--option to use a Spoon looking rear section. Both rear section options would be compatible with the front section, both will bolt up to the front section in other words, to allow the owner to swap between the two.

Thoughts? Input/help?

But it looks easy to take off, how often do you change your exhaust? lol
