Hi all installing spoon 4 pots and ive put EBC yellow stuff pads in. Is it right there so tight in there the wheel can't move? That it will free up when i drive down the road? They are bloody tight in there, been a headach doing them...

you should be able to turn the wheel. you may need to shave off a bit from the both pads prior to driving.

Was it a brand new set of Spoon Calipers? The Spoon Calipers should come with 3mm washers to fit between the caliper and the mounting point on the Hub, otherwise they will hit the disc and wont allow the disc to rotate freely. If they are 2nd hand then the washer may not have come with them, but all you need is some 3mm washers to space the caliper out alittle.

Hope this helps.

Ty for both your replys, yea jag they came with the washers and they are still to tight on! The calipers are really easy 2 install. Then you get to fitting the ebc yellows and they are just 2 bulky. Any more advice be really helpfull tnx.

Some pads have dimples on the back of them which need shaved off before fitting to spoon calipers

Had a similar issue with hawk pads

Yep alrdy done this, managed to get them on now :) had to shave the "bedding in pink stuff" of them. Then they went stright in. About to bleed them now. Thanks all for your help :)

And its the ek9 pre facelift with standard disks.

im pretty sure the ebc should be ok as Ian ijwhiteman runs yellowstuff with spoon calipers on his 9 and I'm pretty sure he didn't have any problems.

are spoon brakes the best u can get or is it worth buying something else?and are they the best compared to other makes?been offered complete front brake setup calipers, disc's and pads brand new and in box

how much should i be paying for complete setup

Gilette Mach 3 Razor :p
