Soon to be ek9 owner!

Hey. I'm just after joining. I already own a Focus Zetec but since i've been in cars with valve timing i just wanted to get one so badly! I've tried out Mivec's already but i much rather to have a type r instead due to it's look and red recaro's Any advice when looking to buy one? I've found a really nice one up in Dublin and seriously thinking of checking it out soon. What should i look out for when looking at it?

Cheers man But what I'm really looking for is there any common problems ek9's may have? I'm sure being a honda that it is very reliable but are there little things that can go wrong with it?..

oil burning is a common problem with the vtec
check color smoke
eg blue means oil is being burnt..also can be piston rings

also there are many worn out,weak examples so watch out!!

Ok thanks.. i'll keep a look out for that so.. The one I'm looking at has recently past the NCT so I'm fairly certain that it would fail if blue smoke was coming out of it Any other advice anyone?..
