my ek4s blowing white/blue smoke , my mate has his own garage and he knows abit about cars just not hondas but he asumes it needs valve stems and springs ? now i dont even no what that is but does that sound aboutright fortheproblem i have . car still pulls and runs fine and a dont think its useing oil ? if this is the case would i be best jus going too honda to get it fixed ?

i would just leave it if it aint causing any problems mate, usually stem seals. You wont need springs renewed. or is it quite a lot of smoke? i have a little smoke in vtec but not causing bother or oil consumption

Just double check whether it is blueish or white. Blue = oil White =water(usually HG) Black= over fueling or timing
Another thing check pcv valve should be a red plug type thing on the inlet manifold just where it joins the head, they can get bunged up and cause a lil smoke, renew or clean with carb cleaner

its not a major amout of smoke just enough that i can notice it out back window as it hits 5 6k . still pulling strong and stuff mite just give car good service and chck what you sed an just keep my eye on oil , my mate sed it same as you it wont cause any problems just get it fixed on day

seems to have stoped smoken and now has a missfire lol ??
think it just needs plugs or leads changing or could it be somthing worse ?
if its gona b worse al just run it into the ground then get another b16 in it or a b18 .

prob either valve stem seals or piston rings

Run a compression test and then test again with a drop of oil in the bores, should let you know if its the rings or top end.

took plugs out today . one of the holes had some oil in it . think it was from service i done on car , other 3 where dry ? think this problem could be because of service or oil seals ?? would handy to know before i go get new plugs and leads tomoro . was hoping now that all four holes are oil free a good service would solve this ?

funny feeling it wont tbh lol but worth a try

now the missfire has stoped ? but its still alittle smokey and smells of petrol ?

any ideas before i get riped of by a garage lol
