Skunk 2 Mega power R 70mm installed

Thanks for sharing, without the silcener, you mean the silencer located in the muffler itself right?

That sounds unreal. You would probably notice a difference after a map!

Where did you get it by the way?

same exhaust as I've got, sounds awesome although i am glad it came with a bung, handy for long journeys, makes some difference.

Also heres what its like on a dyno

Holy **** man £579.99 inc VAT?! Shieeet didn't think it was that expensive :(

How much difference the silencer make? I'm thinking of getting one but i leave for work at 5am so the neighbours might get annoyed

Is your Decat a straight pipe or a baffeld one? Sounds like straight through decat pipe.

Wouldn't say 70mm is over kill for N/A. A standard Engine yes is prity much overkill but a tuned engine would need around that to be more efficent.

According to Four Stroke Performanc tuning. An engine with a rev range up to 9000rpm

2.5" (63mm) Is supposed to be optimum from 180-220hp. So a standard car would benifit staying 2.5", but anything above 210 upto 265hp would be better off with 2.75" (70mm aprox)

Is just a shame all the after market systems with enough size and flow all sound rediculously loud. Im in the process of making a 3" system with 3 silencers and maybe even a 2.5" back box. A big bore back box is apparenty not that important as by the time the gasses have flowed out through the manifold and down the system they have cooled and slowed down so having a smaller diameter back box can actualy maintain gas flow velocity and reduce niose allot more. Which is always a bonus. Ever notice that Standard EK9 and DC2 piping into the back box is actualy smaller than it is on the center section. :nice:

I'm hoping to do more to the car just thought the 70mm would be good if I wanted to bang loads more power into it.

The decat is just a straight through pipe. I actually want a 17" cat but for some reason I can only find 12" cat or 12"-17" adjustable de-cat.

The silencer I find lowers the sound a little bit but mainly takes away the raspy sound. I leave for work at 5.45am usually and had no complaints yet.
