Practically,

My current disks are failing in braking as they seem to shake the steering when heavy braking..

Got a spare of 262's front disks and am considering to skim them and use as a replacement solution.

What you would you, skim the spares or buy ventilated ones? Pros and cons?
Running on HAWK pads.

Depends on the thickness left.
If they're only 262 they'll be getting hot if you're giving it some.

If they've got plenty of meat on them, give them a skim. If they're getting low, it's time to change then take the opportunity to upgrade to 282s

Perfect of your reply. The engineer is only gonna take 50EU aprox which that is a fast solution.
As per 282's, I need to stay 4x100 PCD, what would be the best combo? Cheers mate for your honest reply.

4x100 282mm discs are available.
They're fitted to:
MG ZR 1.8VVC (160bhp)
MG ZS 2.5 V6 (180bhp)

We can supply a pair if they're not available locally.

Perfect, and calipers will be ungraded as well to fit the 282mm?
Hit me a PM and we can speak further more mate :)

Bought a pair of front Mtecs from FreakyParts and cant fault them....just make sure u also run a fresh pair of good quality pads with the new discs and bed them in properly!
