Short Term Car Insurance

Got someone coming to view my car tomorrow night, and obviously i'd be taking him out in it to show that everything's sound and working etc. Problem is the car isnt insured, it's taxed/mot'd etc.

Cheapest 1-day insurance quote i've found is £38, which seems a bit steep since there's no guarantee that it's going to get a sale!

Anybody else had this problem or got any ideas for me?
 
It sounds about right. I paid £28 for one day on a nakkered old 1.1 106.

You could get a week of insurance but then if it sells its a waste too.

Just get the day and cross those fingers it sells. Not a lot else you can do really.
 
Last time i got 1 day insurence it was like £35 so seems about right.

Tbh u might just be better off taking him somewhere quiet like an industrial estate for a test drive. Especially if theres no gaurentee your getting the sale. That way if he buys it its his problem and you save £40 :nice :

I needed to drive the car back 300 mile so thats why i payed. A bit risky but of i was in your situation i definetly would'nt have bothered.
 
I'd start it up and let him look around it - describe the condition genuinely and he shouldn't really have an issue if he can't drive it

Or tell him to pay you £38 for a test drive lol :p
