Ok, just got some pictures from David at Private Imports, i have chosen a car, the car looks clean from the pictures: I have attached the pictures of the car.

Here is some details of it too:

Details:

1998
86,000km/53,300miles
No accident history
A/C
Power steering
Power windows
Airbag
£8,200

However, he said there may not be any service history with the car. Should i avoid the car?

What papers should i look for?

Regards

I dont think you should avoid it. At the end of the day a service book isnt 100% proof that everything has been carried out. I would just change the cambelt, water pump, plugs, filters and fluids when u get it, as piece of mind. A service history is just a bit more comforting to have and helpfull when u re-sell the car, especially with being an import.

cool, thanks! Think this is the car i will be driving end of febuary! ;)

seems a bit pricey to be honest..but i wouldnt worry about service history as alot of imports dont come with any. they tend to look after their cars better over there so you are usually ok.

mine came over with no history and flew through its first MOT and service without any advisorys.

Dont worry about the service history mate...that is very expensive IMO though, you should be able to get a decent 2000 plate EK9 for that sort of money, or even my HKS tuned EK9 which are both better value and my HKS Tuned EK9 has lower mileage too

glad someone else agrees....take a look elsewhere.
my 97 with 45k on the clock only cost me around 6k

hmmm, pricey you say? I will refer him to this thread about his prices then!

Thanks for everyones input

My 2000 W Type-Rx was £7800, in April 07.
