Seat Rails?

Searched but only found specific examples

So my question is on seat rails fitting certain seats.

Do you need a seat rail made by a specific manufacture to fit aftermarket seats of the same make, I would assume this but would like to know for sure.

Also I seem to only be able to find universal seat rails. How exactly do these work? Do they need parts welded to them or are they a case of fitting them to the seats and then bolting them onto your rails?

Any help would be awesome as I plan to approach my dad pretty soon for Xmas presents ;)

Every seat will have a specific seat rails, so it depends in actually what seats you are getting, some times you can get away with modding it to suite the rail to seat and make it sit properly in the car
 
Well I'm on the demon Tweeks website and they only seem to do universal seat rails, so where can I get them from to suit the seat and car?
 
I'm just trying to match them up
I'm planning on buying new of each. So finding a seat. Then picking the rails to fit both car and seat
Think I might just go with buddy club.
