hello guys,

im new here but not new to the trade [=

i have a ek8 swapped with a b18c4 and s9b transmission.
synchrotech pro carbons and 3-4 sleeve.

6262 precision @ 22psi making approx 450whp.

I would be happy to know if someone can tell me what is the WHP limit of my OEM LSD.

i know the gears are good for the power, but not so sure about the lsd.

my friend made 515whp no problem (mustang dyno), i want to get to 550...

i tried other forums but here it seems that you guys are expert in s9b gearboxes [=

thx

What do you use the car for? I'd imagine drag racing on big slicks would cause you issues with the diff pretty quickly.
A road car however will only load the whole driveline up relatively slowly compared to in a launch scenario.

we dont drag race here, no drag strips.

i only do roll racing.

im on 225/50/15 r888.

bu i do want to try to drag race. and if i do it will be in 0.8psi at 1-2 gears... [=

I'd guess you'll be ok but only one way to find out!

lol.. thats what im trying to avoid..

anyone made 600whp with it ?

I'm guessing the weak point will be the tyre until 4th - 5th gear.
If you've got such a spec to make 550whp then an Lsd upgrade isn't exactly bank breaking.

dear jesse.. i now get an idea how you got 8000+ msg in here.. but please, i need help from someone who knows and tried it..

i dont need someone to look in my bank account.

FYI i need to buy DSS or LSD, so i need to figure out what to buy.

What I'm trying to say is as the tyre spins the torque isn't in the driveline anymore.
I'd not want to put 550-600whp through stock shafts or Lsd tbh
I don't know anyone at your power level so I can't give you the answer but I am trying to help you. If you don't want help and just want answers to vague questions then good luck.

Your better off on a forum with more American guys on it if you want spoon feeding

lol.

thank you for your help.
i need help = answers...

the american guys dont know ****... [=

I say that because I don't know anyone over here on a torsion Lsd, nevermind at 600whp.

Correct me if im wrong but i thought all b series lsd's have the same part number so they are all the same but gearing /final drive is different between gearboxes.
If im correct then you can calculate the limit you are looking for by looking at what other people are running on high power builds with stock lsd, if they are.
My opinion would be a s9b lsd would handle more than say a s4c due to the lower gearing, thats why a s4c lsd feels more aggressive than a s9b even though they may be the same. I cant talk from experience only pointing in the right direction.
Also if you have dyno'd on a mustang dyno your number may be different to the majority of dyno numbers from dyno dynamics/dyno jet..

Hope this helps.

xxxencorexxx

man, you did helped.

so let's see..

who in here have 600whp with OEM lsd ?

also, i know the differences between the dyno's [= the for the detailed answer.
