robthedoc's ek9 turbo, adventures in boost!

Spent today putting braided lines on the back and getting the wheels on so the 9 could get pushed outside... because I have bought another civic! Just a doner though.

Thats where I'm up to for now but on holiday from work till the week after next so plenty time to get everything ready for the boost :nice:

Thats the main thing :) that looks like a cool garage to work in, wish i had a ramp lol
Cheers man. Ramp does make a big difference. The place is turning into my new home the amount of time I'm spending there lol

Mate this cars going to be wicked, was good to catch up again :) will need to do more when the cars are sorted...

Wee update, so the engine out the aerodeck is good. Only wear was 4 thou on the thrust side of cylinder 3. So decided to go for a 0.5 overbore and take it out ti 81.5. Now knowing my bore size I've ordered pistons and rods from realstreetperformance. Went for JE 10.0:1 compression ratio and eagle rods. So with all the engine stuff on hold really until parts arrive I started to strip and clean the front end.

Took a different approach the the aerodeck where we just dropped the engine and gearbox. This time we took it all out on the subframe...

Started to take it apart and theres always one thing....

Lost about two hours to this thing!

Anyway the subframe wishbones and hubs were looking a bit grim so the assemblies were stripped and they are off to the powder coaters along with the front anit roll bar.

I'll hopefully have them back for the end of the week so will put a picture up soon as poss.

Then it was time to start cleaning :( so couple before and afters...
