So gona respray my ek4 in the nxt few weeks/month.. Few questions bt.. First of all the on the doors the rubber seals started pullin them off n realised they will be nxt to impossible to get back on again rite becuz of the wee clips breakin.. And engine bay?? Any way of sprayin in and around it with out pullin the engine out! All answer will be greatly received! Cheers

I haven't got much experience but I don't think it would be very easy to spray the engine bay without taking the engine out, just my opinion though :)

The overspray on the engine woud be horrendous trying to spray it with the engine in!.....as for the finish,I doubt it would be much better. I'm no expert but it sounds like you're trying to do a respray on a budget which is never a good idea IMO.

You need patience with the doors. I took doors, fender, bonnet, boot, bumpers, lights, everything came off. Stripped the doors (windows out) when I had my EK9 sprayed. I took those clips to my Honda dealer to get the right ones, as some of them broke. But they where insane priced, so I bought some for Citroëns as they where nearly the same and a lot cheaper! :nice:

As for engine bay, I removed everything I could. Battery, wirings, fuse boxes, Mugen airbox, washer fluid bottle, strut brace, bonnet catch/lock, radiator, clutch fluid reservoir (put aside), headlights
