When you get the 2 slider bolts off and the caliper is hanging free there's the 2 cables left? Handbrake and fluid line? Can someone talk me through properly removing these? And do I clamp the fluid line first?? I've braided lines

Thanks, gav :p

It's up to you whether you clamp the lines as you'll be bleeding the system afterwards anyway. Anyhow...

Hydraulic line...there's a banjo bolt that goes into the caliper (at the end of the hydraulic line). Just undo this and after a little wiggling the hydraulic line will come away from the caliper. There should be 2 washers (1 on either side of the ring thing that the banjo bolt goes through). Hydraulic line done :nice:

Handbrake cable...where the cable meets the lever on the caliper, there should be a stud going through the cable end and lever end with a clip going through it. Remove the clip (I found pliers did this well) and providing its not corroded in there too badly, the stud should just pop out. Then you'll see an arm which the cable goes through. There's a thin metal clip that holds it in place. That clip **should** slide out (I found that using a screwdriver as a lever worked well). Once that is out the cable should slide through the arm and then the caliper should be free for you to take away. If you need pics for further help just say and I'll get them (I still have my old calipers so that's no problem) :win:

legend man cheers.... that pretty much sums up what i needed to know :) thank you
