Heyas,

I'm not sure if EK9s do have air conditioner but i have an EM1 civic and it has one. It has no modifications yet, but the air conditioner in the car is totally useless, i never use it hehe. Is there someone who knows how much it weight and if it's worth investing the time to remove it from the car (maybe i could sell it afterward).

Regards,

I removed mine in my ek9, the heaviest thing is the compressor (I'm not 100 % if thats the name in english). You should shave off like 25 - 30 pounds just by removing the A/C.

What motor you have in your em1 ? :nerv:

25-30lbs is about right, make sure to remove the condensor, compressor, all the lines, and the box behind the dash.

was considering removing the A/C soon nxt yr!

truth is i owe my EK4 since may '05 baught it with 50000kms & in mint cond... only prob was air con (A/C) was not working & needed charging up... Guess wot never did so... :D besides living in a hot climate (summer average 29 to 32 degrees) i hve handled with it jst fine!

So was about to fix this A/C prob when encounterd probs with the tubes when fitting Mugen intake recently. . . so hve decided to dish it away & save some weight which WE sometimes pay big money to replace heavy parts :blinx:
