Recommend me a decat

looking for a decat for the ek9 and was ondering what people would recommend. saw that tegiwa do the 2.5inch adjustable decat. does anyone have any experience with this decat? or would recommend a different decat?

they all do same thing. You'd be jus payin for the name if ya bout the likes of j's racin etc. Make one yourself. Cheap and cheerful
 
haha thats what i was thinking. im not too handy with a welder or grinder so i think im gonna have to stick to off the shelf decats lol. im tempted to go for the tegiwa one though but just looking to see what people who have used it say about it in terms of quality/ raspyness/ loundess etc.
 
are ya in a rush for it, i.ll sell ya the one off my car in a week or two. Think its a home made job but it'd do.

Dont buy any of the adjustable decat's or stright pipe decat's, they sound REALLY raspy on EK9's!

I bought a stright pipe one when i first got my 9 & i hated the sound that much i put my cat back on!

For the price you cant beat the sound, performance or the build quality IMO:nice:
 
me and my brother got the japperformance parts one its simple cheap and all good!

i didnt get the tegiwa one purely beucase i didnt trust it, as i pictured it being half the strength as a fixed decat!
 
I use the same resonated decat at the bottom of the page on the Linked website and it is a good quality piece:nice:

I also had a straight pipe decat with no resonator and it sounded terrible! Its supprising how much better they sound with a resonated decat!
 
thanks for the input guys. so will the resonated decat still be louder than with the normal cat right?

I use that de-cat too, sounds much better than my last one

Maybe slightly but not much louder, the resonated decats do a good job at reducing the noise
 
Firas did you buy this decat and how much did it cost? its coming up to £70 for me.
