Alright,

I am looking for some replacement covers to protect my Speeds, problem is, I run harnesses and I cant find any covers with an opening for them???

My last set, which are now burst, I cut them open and finished them with edging to allow the harnesses to pass through but I wasnt 100% happy with the finish, just looked cheap!

Has anyone else came across any covers the accommodate harnesses?? Or am I resulting to the sewing machine again?? :angry2:

I don't know why people pay money for a nice seat just to slap an ugly cover on it. I would only ever put a cover on my recaro when the car went in for MOT. Now I have black seats I'm not going to bother with any cover. But to answer the question - Nope, never seen one with harness holes I'm afraid! All the covers I've seen looked cheap, I would have though properly edged holes should look OK?

Because they don't buy it to pose.
They buy it because it does it's just - supportive and comfortable.
And then they can keep the seat clean and use it. 👍

Fair enough, although I personally found the recaro more comfortable without the cover. But each to their own ;)

I used to use a seat cover due to workin in a garage and the car being my daily. Was like a little treat at weekends taking the cover off. And your right was so much comfier.

What about putting the stock seatbelts back in?

They are there for the Mrs and my mechanic, but i prefer to use them. No point having harnesses if you aint going to use them.....

The simple reason is, i have custom Black and Yellow Recaro Speeds made by Recaro, these were not cheap and i now want to protect them.

There is no doubt its more comfortable without seat covers, but if i wanted comfort i wouldnt have bought a civic, lowered it, stiffened it and fitted seats and harnesses that hold you in like a baby! Its more just protection for the seats like in your case with the getting in and out for work:nice:

SO looks like i will be getting the sewing machine out then.... :nono:
