Change the filter aswell Jesse, then investigate the old one.
Out of interest did you check your ring end gap whilst inserted inside the cylinder bore?
I set the ring end gap, yes I checked them inside the cylinder, at the top and bottom of each cylinder with each ring.
Was 017" top ring and I think 020"2nd ring.
Alittle loose on wisecos suggested gaps but only by around 001" top and 002" bottom
Pretty sure the blow by is due to poor run in. As I mentioned before I had to idle for ages while I was diagnosing issues. I can sort that next winter, won't stop the engine running well enough for me to get it on track.
I'll sort the sump out aswell, didn't think it was right when I was washing it, looks flat and undented to me but I'll see what I can do, clearly it's not right.
