Question: Does EK fit EJ??

Hi all, im newbie heres and I just got a 1997 EJ6 civic coupe.(I had a civic MB before the rover 400 style) I heard some parts which fit a EK might fit an EJ. Is this true and if so does anyone know what exactly fits. Can this apply to aftermarket parts aswell??

p.s. soz i this has already been mentioned somewhere in the forum but I can't seem to find the post. If you could point me in the right direction it would be most appreciated :)
 
depends what you want

most parts are the same
 
Does this apply to after market parts atall, the guy who had a "type R" style EJ6 coupe had a mugen strut brace and they say they fit EK, What about things like pannel filters is the box/filter the same size or completely different. I know some things are different due to the length of the cars etc but just wanted to get an idea

chassis and intereior will have parts the same ie you can fit the rear discs from an EK4/EK9 onto the rear trailing arm of the EJ9 and the engine from a EK4/EK9/DC2 will fit with the right parts switched over into the EJ9 chassis
its jsut a case of how much money you have ;)
 
So say a strut brace that would fit an EK should fit and EJ6. What about pannel filters. I know you can get the K and N one for the EJ6 specific but would a spoon one for the EK fit atall does anyoe know ???

yes front brace will fit but not 100% sure on the rear brace
 
Ek9 carpet won't fit your ej, don't ask me why but i have an ek9 carpet and doesn't fits my ek4... (rhd to lhd)
 
coolios. Cheers Leek9. Do you know about pannel filters atall will others apart from K&N fit do you know, its not a biggy if it don't but knowin some bits tht fit an EK will fit and EJ is a gd start gives me more options :)
 
Most...if not all parts of an ek will fit an ej. The differences are minor. there's a thread around here with a list of the differences. IMO they are identical. I dont know why they call them ej......why do the americans have to be different about everything??
 
ej isnt an american thing my ej9 is rhd uk spec its just a model number honda gave them
 
Like wise my EJ6 is RHD UK spec (as im from UK) tough it does say made by Honda of america under the bonnet strange. Cheers for the help guys :) btw

Have a question, looking for a rear hatch license plate panel in silver for my ej6, to go with my ctr conversion. Since my car is silver can that license plate panel being pulled off from a couple or sedan and still fit the hatch. Just want to get it from junkyard and not have to bother to paint it.
