Copied from civiclife

So after wanting a civic for months i finally bought one, i bidded on it on ebay i won it for 750 which isnt too bad tbh, at the moment the car is faded alot ive read on the internet its not really possible to bring back to life cause the paint fades under the lacquer :( on the weekend im gunna bust the D.A out and give it a good going over to see if i does anything if not it looks like a full respray is gunna be in order. the car currently has a toyosport exhaust which has got to go lol plans are basically ek9 rep, im planning to use oem parts and not any ebay **** lol

good work mate. now get the rest done, and when you're finished come and bring my paint back to life

Today I started to make some progress on the paint correction, I've decided now that I'm just going to do a panel at a time cause its so time consuming, Earlier on I cracked on with the roof, one of the worst parts of the car and it come up like new which I was really pleased with :) areas to be resprayed which I think wont come up with the D.A are going to be the bonnet, wing and passenger door by the looks, the rest of the car is fine if I'm honest, getting these parts sprayed though are one of my last priorities because the car is off the road to do the build and I've still got my first car which I'm using to drive about which is a bonus. Anyway here is a picture of the roof 50/50 to show the comparison.

Today i cracked on with the interior, picked up my ek9 door cards, carpet and rear plastics off my mate rhys only problem i encountered was the that the rear plastics were from a pre-facelift ek9 so they wouldnt fit, ive asked a mate now to come over tomorrow to have a look as he fitted prefacelift ek9 interior into his facelift.heres some pics :)

Started to Ek9 my headlights last week, first of all i used tint spray but the results was not as good as i expected them to be, so i got some paint mixed up i decided not to go with tempest grey as its semi matte and ek9 headlights are more of shiny colour, so i give them to my mate Phil whos also a member on this forum to spray them up for me, the results were amazing fairplay, if your wondering why the indicator part is painted its because when i used the tint spray i tried to remove it with nail vanish remover which resulted in stripping the chrome off the housing  so i had to paint over it, was a bit gutted tbh cause i thought they would of looked really nice otherwise, i just bought some meister r's from a guy on here aswell hoping to fit them when i get my lower control arms and camber adjusters :p
