I dont really like making new threads but i have to make one for this. I already did the search function of the board but found nothing about it.

Anybody tried upgrading the EK9s ARB bushing with Energy Suspension bushings? I need to change my EK9s ARB bushing but i dont know what is the correct part number. Maybe you guys can direct me to the correct part number. Thanks in advance.

IIRC, what you will need is 24mm for the fronts and 22mm for the rear.

The endlinks are also essential, but the kit I have purchased before was different than what was shown on this link.

^Thanks for the reply RA. Maybe you can find the part number or link of what you had installed on your car. I have the Master Bushing set for 99-00 Si but the bushing for the swaybars are different from the EK9s.

EK9 have 26mm front and 22mm rear ARB

-Fronts I used energy suspension bushes (civic Si sized ones, bought direct from ES)
-Rears I used proflex bushes (ukdm DC2 sized ones, bought from motorsportworld)

Alongside fitting new oem ARB drop links all round, tightened up the car nicely

hey,

just check out your sway bar size diameter...these bushings are universal. Anyway i dont think this bushing needs emergent change...what you need the MOST change on sway bar, are endlinks, and this small bushings - dunno how to name name..maybe sway bar link bushings?

Check how feels mine after 10.000 that i bought the OEM from honda (35 GBP!!!)

YouTube - ITR rear endlinks after ~10 000km

EK9 don't use bushes in the endlinks, they are balljoint type front AND rear

Thus the bushings he is refering to are most likely the ones where the ARB is mounted to the subframe

Hence the sizes I have mentioned

:)

ah...I wish that ITR have the same "setup" :) the rear is due to this bushing pretty weak and there is need to improve.

Why didnt you get the Energy Suspension bushes for the rear?

I need to change it coz i think it already worn out. Didnt notice it until i remove my car's rear lower tiebar. I will also change the endlinks. Thanks for the advise.

It is always good to change everything...because ~10-13 years old bushings cant work well.

I am doing complete rebush, it is not so difficult & pricy as i thought.

Good luck

energy suspension doesnt sell them for rear ek9 arb

for fronts you use 99-00 si ( i did but even greasing with supplied grease tey squeeked al the time and after couple years deformed so just bought some oem ones)

I've checked all my bushings, the only ones with slight cracks visible where the RTA bushes which have now been replaced, everything else was fine, not even hairline. Is it still benefical to replace 10year old bushing if its in good 'shape'?

Yes, the front i replaced from a Si Master kit. I need to replace the rear. I think they have something for universal application. That is why i need to know the part number.
