ok going to be doing a brake overhaul soon and this is my proposed setup, spoon calipers are on order and going to get service kit for rears ordered soon, already have the hoses fitted as well as front discs. just need to order pads/rear discs/fluid:

spoon twinblock calipers
refurbish standard rear calipers
goodridge braided hoses with stainless fixings
AP dixcel PD discs front and rear
motul RBF600 dot 4 fluid
Project mu pads front and rear (either b-spec or level max500)

question is has anyone had experience with either of the Project mu pads mentioned above? out of the two which would you reccomend. they do seem really good value for money!

car isn't used much around town, mostly fast road driving with heavy braking, hoping to get on track soon too

i run b force which is lesser version of b spec and they are excellent all round fast road pad and ok for odd track days (3-4 laps after which they need cooling down)

ive tried few pads now and liked these so much i fitted another set on few weeks ago after going through first set

the b spec have 100oC higher operating temp so better than b force for track days but again just the odd day

if you end up doing lot more track days youll need something like the max 500

thanks for that! although i've now seen some Endless CCX at a really good price so may be tempted to go for them instead

excellent choices with brake upgrade mate! whatever of the two pads you choose, you can't go wrong! :D

thanks! after some researching i think that i'm going to go for the Endless ccx all round, they have a higher heat capacity to the Project mu mentioned above

Project mu's equivalent to the Endless CCX would seem to be the HC+ although they work out about £80 more expensive :wow:
