what thieft prevention do you guys use? are they affective? how do you prevent people from stealing your lips?

wow! do people really steal lips? if your car is lowered a lot just park with your wheels straight and it should be pretty difficult to gain access to the screws.

i have a a power bar behind my seat in the car :D it prevents theft wen i use it :D:D so far its prevented theft twice :D

i thought i power bar was like a breaking bar etc.

if you mean YOU use a power bar on the people attempting theft then i understand you! lol

well my car got stolen once and it wasnt pretty when i got it back..they took the rims lips lights tail lights and steering wheel, and broke the steering column and gauge cluster. I put it all back together and now i use everything i possibly can to prevent theft..i have a removeable steering wheel with hub lock and i turn my wheel all the way till it locks so it cant be moved. I soldered the screws that gain access to the ignition switch that can easily be started with a screw driver (how most thefts happen, and it takes about 1 min to gain access to) i have a brake/clutch lock that prevents the brake or clutch to be pressed down, and last is an alarm that shits power down to the car once activated and cant be started if they try to deactivate the alarm by cutting wires. All in all, i think im safe..but if thiefs really want the car..all they gotta do is tow it away and no one will ever know. Bes thing is a lo-jack and it tracks where ur car is at all times :)

DwP02, can you post a pix of how to soldered the screw that gave access to ignition switch that can be started with screw driver? cuz i have no idea how to do it or where its at.

no...can cut solder with a knife...or even knock it of with a screwdriver easily

I used to have the pics of my car in shambles but i deleted them when i transferred everything over to a new pc. If you take the screwa out of the big plastic cover under your steering wheel, where your column shaft and your key ignition is, you will notice attached to the key ignition is this little white plastic piece only held onto the key ignition by two screws. you unscrew those and this white piece is no longer attached to the key ignition and all you then need is any flat screw driver to turn these metal pieces inside to start your car. its sad and kinda bad on hondas part to make it so vulnerable. :( And forgot to mention, not only did i solder the heads, but i also super glued the screws inside the plastic piece AND stripped the phillips heads of the screws. So if they do manage to knock off the solder, they still have to deal with badly stripped heads of the screws and if they get to that its still superglued in its place :) all i gotta say is F*ck thiefs
