Mines filth at the moment!
Will grab a picture tommorow, wheels are literally black! :nono:
Not good but had no time to clean it up!

Got some silkolene pro s 5w40 and a HAMP filter on order, once arrived the sump will be going on ready for brands :nice:

Glad you decided to not sell! Id love to take my 9 on the ring! Much envy :)

Some progress;

Swapped to standard back box, moroso sump fitted which involved milling back the transmission brace piece. Looks like this;

Had awesome fun on track even though it barely got above zero all day! And snowed for a while, tyres barely got any heat into them and got frustrated not knowing how engine was doing under the thrashing it got! Used about 200ml of oil and was being driven really hard and was on track A LOT that day! So very pleased at that.
Suffered some brake judder so that needs investigating as I go to ring in three weeks!

Next;
Got a spa oil temp/pressure gauge on order
And VDO water temp gauge on order.
Just need to work out a fitting solution!
Debating whether to swap to a single din stereo and mount them above/below in the double din space.
Or make up something in the lower bracket like eternal blue did, only worry is knee being in way and having to look down a lot on track
Any opinions?

this is one of the most beautiful 9s' that I've seen for a while! :) I'll be watching this thread closely. :D

I'll be at brands some time in may probably. Doubt I've got the funds to do it in April.
Let me know what date your going none the less. I might be able to squeeze it in lol

Egshane, I'm going to the ring mid April so funds won't allow a track day in April over her aswel.

I could do some mega saving and be able to in may though!
I'll have a look at dates tommorow, need to get some summer ones booked before prices go up/sell out!

Just arrived home from work and my gauges have arrived, just gotta work out where to mount them!
Pics when I get round to doing it all, work is taking up all my time!

Thanks for the positive comments, it's a fairly light build but just keeping it all functional, useable and a few nice parts :)

Jake if you do go in may let me know. Hoping weather will be warmer in may aswell.

I can't see a brands day in may?
I do see Bedford though which is open pit on the 20th!
Will have to assess funds after Germany as I think I'll be needing new tyres fairly soon after trip!

Plenty of brands in may on msv website, nothing with javelin though.
You bought fresh ad08's not long ago didn't you? If so you'll have loads of tread left after ring. Unless you do like 25laps

They are down to About 3.5mm now.
I do plan to be doing a fair few laps. Especially if weather is dry! :dance:
So impressed with them, they are a good compromise.

Yeah they are good tyres aswell, in my s2k I did about 3 brands days on them and 10laps on the ring, and still had a lot of tread left.

Will keep fingers crossed and see how they look after Germany :)
Going to get this gauges in before the ring to keep an eye on things!

yeah any date really im not fussed any time before july, as im at the ring in july!

we will have to all sort something out!

my brother will come along in his 2000 aswell so should be good!

just need the sun to come out :nerv:

Nice work man , good choice of parts !

Keep an eye on your sump though , Ive seen a few Moroso sumps now break their spot welds which hold in the baffles (Including mine). This leaves a small hole in the side , that at the height it is , leaks 1- 1.25 ltrs of hot oil very quickly.

Why it happens I dont know , maybe the temperature range over here doesn't help expansion of the metal , especially cold weather track days.

A wise idea , would be to cover the spot welds well with a bit of sealant at least, since its already in place !
