I'm soon to begin rebuilding my engine which will essentially comprise:
- Chemically cleaning head and block (no planned machining work)
- Replacing all original moving components with the exception of a different crankshaft
This would mean that each piston that was original worn into the same set of cylinders prior to disassembly would be put back into exactly the same cylinder using the same rings.
Will I be needing to be going through any run-in procedures at all?
