Police manhunt.. and it wasn't even on the news??

Ok so on Tuesday night i went out to the cinema to see pirates 4 with the missus. get back to the house to find a police helicopter floating above the trees and about 3 police vans all doors wide open and a bunch of police legging it after someone in the field.. was a bit freaked out to say the least and legged it indoors

My parents said that the helicopter had turned up going up and down the woods with searchlights on etc etc and within minutes the police vans had rocked up and police had started spilling into the woods while more had appeared running across the field from the other side. someone tried to make a run for it in the woods and afaik got taken down.

what i want to know is who the f*** was it that needed 3 van loads of armed police and what the hell he/she was doing there... have been watching the news and stuff but theres been nothing surely something like that would make the news?

about 5 miles lol but yeah it wasn't them. a firend of mine works there and the siren didn't sound so pretty sure it wasn't one of the state hospital lot

was going to say I use to work in a secure unit hospital & the first thing that would come out went a paitent went awol was the helicopter & a small army of police And the public would be the last to know. The amount of very unwell people that have escaped from hospital & they still keep it hush hush is shocking.
