planning 1st build and have a few questions

hi

im planning a rebuild of my Ek9 hatch.its currently a 150i standard.im looking for some ideas and advice.i want to go with a b18c4 engine and put a 7-10psi boost,and i am looking into other mods 2 do to the engine.i want it 2 be reliable and i dnt want an silly power.

Questions:

b18c4 a good engine for turbo?

will i get turbo wistle at such low boost?

is it a good idea to stroke the engine and how much more power will i get?

how much of power will i gain from putting bigger injectors?

how much more power will i get from a bigger cam?

what mods do you recomend i do to the engine?

Yes you are right there mate the b18c4 is a good engine due the pistons and the displacement not being so high like the c6 and so on.

you shouldnt really need to stroke the engine mate enough people make silly power on the standard internals like up to 350bhp happily any more and you will be pushing it and may sink a sleeve.

yes you will get a whistle as its just the turbo spooling if im correct.

you will need to put in bigger injectors anyway just to cope with the extra power and you will see more gains too.

and you can always look in to the turbo cam that skunk 2 and toda supply both great cams.
anyone please correct me if im wrong as im not a turbo god lol.
 
JDP is running a b18c4 in his ek9, with a turbo he is around 350bhp. can be achieved with b18c4 block.
 
B18c4 one of best engines for boost :)
The wistle your after is probably BOV or dump valve so the more air ( bigger turbo/higher boost) the louder it'l be
apart from that research research loads before you boost do it right 1st time and you'll only have to do it once
