Morning guys,

Will try to keep this short and sweet. I recently imported some wheels from Keith at RPMGarage (FYI extremely nice and helpful guy).

Item was shipped some time ago, as I felt delivery would be in safe hands I didnt bother checking the tracking info or bothering Keith.
Its been about 6 weeks now, something told me to check what was going on as I had heard nothing. After discussing with Keith, we discovered Parcel Force had attempted delivery and are currently in process of shipping the wheels back out to Hong Kong!

In a panic, yesterday I called Parcel Force for more info, they just told me what was pretty much on the tracking info. The current status is, the item is back at the national hub in Coventry.

I am due to call the hub directly at 0830 for an update, there is probably an extremely small change of me stopping them being shipped out I suspect.

If they go back out, not much I can do. If they stop shipping, then Im extremely lucky..

My main point, no delivery note was left at the address to say delivery was attempted. Also the letter the lady of the phone mentioned in regards to import changes / re-arranging collection was never delivered.
There is no reason why I would want to ignore the fact I had mail due, Im furious I was not informed of attempted delivery, and I more frustrated I forked out so much for the wheels to be shipped for them to be sent back overseas.
As much as I want the wheels, I am not willing to pump more money into re-shipping them back to the UK. I feel this is a problem caused by Parcel Force due to extremely poor / no attempt to inform me about my parcel. I mean all they had to do was leave me a flipping voice mail?!

Feel I am fcuked now, this isn't the first time I've had issues with Parcel Force, previously for my 106 GTi I ordered an up-rated set of torsion bars, which were delivered to the wrong address but signed for (signature was clearly not anyone at our household).
Upon trying to rectify the issue the claim was thrown out due it being so long after the delivery date. Feel I will be screwed again by them given my current situation.

Any advice at all if it does go pear shaped?

Hi very unfortunate. Iv had trouble with couriers before saying they called to my house and no one was there and I was in the yard all day. There unbelievable.

Your situation is a lot worse though. If you get in contact with the hub there should be no reason for them not to give them to you. Especially if they didn't leave a note. If all else fails you could try threat in legal action. But I don't think it will go that far. Get in contact as quick as you can

Unusual because Parcelforce will hold parcels until any customs payments have been made.

If it does go pear shaped then there is nothing you can really do as you have no proof that nothing was put through your letterbox. While parcel force are to blame for not putting a note through for missed delivery, or sending a customs payment letter, fault also lies with you. Tracking numbers are there to keep up to date with your delivery, it is always good to keep an eye on them, especially if importing for another country. Also, six weeks is a long time to wait before contacting them with a problem. It doesn't take long for parts to come from that area unless they come by boat, and then it usually takes 2 months. The seller should usually give you an ETA on shipments, or you can find them using the tracking number, so you would know when your parcel should be delivered. If there is no sign after a few days then again, you can use the tracking number to see why, and if it hasn't been updated, you can then go about contacting the courier, i.e. if the tracking details say they are waiting on customs payment, and you haven't received a letter, then you would contact them to find out what is going on. It seems common sense to me to track a parcel.

Are you sure the address is right? I personally have used parcel force a lot, both for sending and receiving, and although there prices can sometimes be a bit of a joke (handling fees), I have never once had a problem.

Anyway, hope you get the problem sorted and you get your wheels!

Thanks for the feedback

I hear what you are saying, and suspect my hands will be tied.. I totally agree I should have been watching it, I think in my head I had it that it would be a fair well over a month for it being delivered so put it to the back of my head.
Whilst no excuse I have other things going on in my life that take much more priority. But yes, given the situation Im now in I regret not keeping on top of it.
I will call them again shortly, they have put a track on the parcel for stopping it being shipped, so far no update on the track and trace service.

Address is 100% correct, is the one I always use linked to my Paypal.
