Recently did a b18b1 in an ek4 swap... I did the wiring myself... it started up and runs fine! But I retrived this code after the check engine light lit up!

My question... I was told to match the colors on the crank fluctuation sensor (I think that's what its called) and it had a ground, the harness didn't! So it was not wired! Could this be the issue?

Has anyone wired this thing up before? At this point I haven't checked the resistance between the prongs but I'm wondering if anyone had a quick response on the issue... I would like to think the sensor is the issue and not my wiring, which fried it possibly! Hahahaha thanks everyone in advance!

Details: engine - B18b1 from a 96 integra LS
Car- 96 civic CX hatchback (usdm)

is it possible!!!!????.... the metal ring that the the sensor reads...... could it be installed incorrectly? is there any way possible to put it in incorrectly? the code erases and when i start up, it comes on after about 3 secs....

P1337 csf sensor. The diagnostic system has a pulser rotor on the crankshaft and a pulse pick-up sensor on the engine block. The ECM/PCM monitors the crankshaft speed fluctuation based on the CKF sensor signal, and judges that an engine misfire occurred if the fluctuation goes beyond a predetermined limit.

Could also try just clearing the code and seeing if it comes back on, it might be an intermittent failure. csf parts
