wild stab in the dark but has anyone ever done a b16b head on a b18c4 bottom end? I think it would work well but not sure in all honesty. just curious if anybody has done it and if it is better than b18c4 full engine or would it be pointless?

I have a skunk2 black series inlet which will not fit on the c4 but obviously fits ek9 head no problems so this will help be able to have that still but will this make much difference?

also if I decide to turbo the b18c4 will an ek9 head with the skunk 2 inlet benefit the setup?

I have just bought an s300 so will be able to adjust a lot of parameters and have asked if any base maps available for me to adjust to my spec on the hondata forum already

cheers guys

Good for turbo, stock block c4 for n/a, I wouldn't bother unless you are taking a fair bit off the head to make up compression.

as far as i know, b16a heads are better for turboing rather than b16b as the pistons arent as pointed so this should be taking into consideration before you build incase you want to turbo.

the whole ek9 head with inlet onto b18c4 bottom end sorry should have made this more clear lol

For turbo this will work good as the ek9 head +skunk inlet will flow much more air than the b18c4, i dont know how well suited ek9 cams are for boost, so i cant advise you on which cams to use, as for n/a b18c4's are pathetic as they have way to little compression,

i know a few people who have boosted b16bs on here and not had a problem so I am presuming that the c4 bottom end will lower the compression a bit and help and the ek9 head, skunk2 inlet and cams plus maybe should produce more power than the c4 head as there more aggressive? I am not sure but to me this seems possibly a more powerful option but still safe to not go tick tick boom :)
