ok so i have an oil pressure and oil temperature gauge that i am trying to wire up but not sure what wire is for what

i cant remember what make they are so cant look them up online.
Both gauges are the same, they have 1 green wire , 2 black and 2 red wires

i know the green wire is for the sender units, but do the sender units need a ground wire coming off them too or is it just the green ?

when i wire both red wires to the same power wire and both black wires to the same ground nothing happens, but when i wire one specific red to the power and ground one specific black one it lights up but thats it. what are the other black and red for anyone know ?

heres a pic of the type of gauges

The sensors usually ground themselves.
You should have one power wire, 1 switch ignition wire, 1 ground and 1 sensor wire each.
Which is which? That's anyone's guess lol

my guess; black = ground, red = power, green = signal.

I was thinkin both reds were power and both black wires were for ground but nothing happens if I connect both red wires to a power and earth both black ones ??

They light up when I put power to one red one and ground one black one .... But don't no what the other red and black are for ?

Obv the other black is a ground too so not sure what the other read is ?

Looks little like the auto gauges logo on the gauge face.
