I know that this probably isnt the right section but it is engine related and this is one of the only forums where i trust the answers of most of the members so thought it would be best to ask here.

My dad owns a 2003 S2k, 57k miles, FHSH. Recntley fitted NVIDIA Catback exhaust (dont think this matters).

Driving around normal the things fine, driving hard through vtec its fine too, even pushing hard and letting off its fine...No signs of burning oil through any of these scenarios.
However, on the entrance to my housing estate there is a steep down hill that when in the s2000 you can bang it into 6th and just roll down at about 30mph which is what my dad seems to do, at the bottom of the hill is a sweeping right hander so still in 6th gear my dad just touches the throttle to pull through the corner (not punching the throttle, blatting it or changing down, just literally pulling the car through the corner) this is when a BIG PLOOM of smoke comes out the exhaust, proper Blue smoke! The really wierd thing is apart from one other time this is the only place it appears to do it ( the other being another down hill section of road) checked the PCV and all appears to be working.

any help?

yes the origonal cat is still in place. It isnt over toed with oil either :(

im really under the impression its breather related or some kind of pressure operated valve? (like the pcv?) however check this by taking it out and checking the ball bearing inside still rolls about.

my dads proper disheartened, bought coilovers, wheels, lips, exhaust etc but doesnt know if this oil issue is an expensive problem or a simple fix

any help greatly appreciated

Have you bypassed the PCV and see if it changes?

The only serious problem it could be is worn valve stem oil seals and excessive end float in the valves as its under good vacuum rolling down the hill in 6th and oil will ''puddle'' in the port .

If the PCV doesn't fix it do a 1000mile oil consumption test , and see how much it burns, if its not bad which it may be , then its down to personal preference to fix it or not

was goina say would it be sump related if he going down hill and then taking a sharp corner but maybe not

"...6th and just roll down at about 30mph"

maybe try not doing this, try 5th instead to see if it might be oil pressure or circulation related? or even 4th gear.

could be oil starvation.

sounds like he's just hanging the car on low revs and causing the oil pressure to drop or starving the engine of oil??? as tama says i would leave the car in 4th or 5th at that speed instead.

The blue smoke means the car is burning oil .. The oil can only get into the chamber by 3 ways , past the piston rings , through the valve guides or into the inlet via breathers eg: the PCV.

Remove the PCV or buy a new one then go from there simple..
