Hey all,

I picked up my EK9 yesterday from torque gt, in devon,

I used to have a ep3 and then a DC5 and then made the mistake of getting a nissan skyline R34 GTT running 305bhp on standard boost, missed the feeling of a type r and had to change cars..

had a few problems with Torque but thats for a different thread :)

my EK is standard apart from a j's racing intake..
I feel the sus is a bit soft.. might need some spoon springs..

Do you guys know of any shops that sell all the decent parts at good price's?

Also for Devon owners I run a jap car club www.wasabiracers.co.uk

Just wanted to introduce myself

:nice:

no pics uploaded yet.. give me a couple of hours and ill upload them...

but the DC5 by far was the best car I've owned.. good mix between modern comfort and raw performance,

the EP3 was a great car too but when i swapped to the DC5 I noticed straight away the brakes were lacking on the EP3, probably something to do with the lack of brembo's....... and probably was a good Type R to start on.. ease me in gently

but the skyline is one of the worst cars I have owned, unless your the type of person that likes to gel there hair every day and likes to look in the mirror at yourself.. and generally like to look good... i don't think this is as driver focused as a Type R, it was very quick after 80-90mph... managed to pull past a massarati :nice: but the lack of steering response and constantly having to correct the back end when pushing hard, the novelty soon wore off..
I know if I was a pro race driver it might have been different but I'm just a normal human and found it slower at normal road use, even took it leagal drag racing, and found it hard to compete!

hope my experience can help some of you who might want to wonder to the other side... but believe me.. the grass is not greener :)

Welcome !
What year is your car and where about's in devon are you ? I live in plymouth nice to see some more ek9s down this end of the country .

Have you ever driven a GTR? IMO they are the best Jap car you can get (never had an NSX/driven one though), they may not have the racey feeling as they aren't (as standard) stripped out and are heavier, but that can be changed.
