Right, here goes the whole blind date thing... Lol

So, my name's matt, im from bucks and im the proud new owner of a 98 ej9...

I know its not an ek9, and far from it, but I had a little look through this forum a few days ago and it seems like a generaly good place to get some ideas from and chat to some other ek owners. :)

This is my second civic, its nothing special but its a good blank canvas for me to work with. Its completely standard, d14 powered and very tidy for its age.

I have a few ideas about what I want to do with this car but still having different ideas daily, but I'll do my best to keep you updated.

sounds good :nice: welcome, first few plans for it? :)

First few things I'll be doing from this Friday (payday :)) ) will be HSD coilovers, some wheels of somesort (im looking for something abit dishy and different, but I might just stick something cheap-ish (maybe some sprints sw98s) for now to get rid of the steels till I find the right ones) gonna tilt my spoiler, and looking for an ek9 grill. Just the basics to get it looking smart till next payday... Then I think I'll be looking at a BYS front bumper, an ek9 rear lip, maybe an exhaust but there is a specific one im looking for and I have no idea what it is or if it will fit without too much fabrication. I've only seen one and it was on a dc2, had an oval box and a small, slightly upswept exit.

That's as far as i dare plan, cause i know I'll change my mind and wanna do something else. But i guess the overall look im going for is a stanced / track-spec look... But im also debating just keeping it fairly cheap but stylish and just going for lowering springs, wheels, exhaust and a few little bits so i can save for an r32 next year, but we'll see

Thanks man, yeah I've found it very helpful so far

Do you guys ever do any forum meets?

check out the upcoming events and meets section for updates :) ^ sounds good btw should definitely get it looking better :D

Yeah, I'll check it out now :nice:

Oh mate, id love to be working on it day and night but my wages and hours kinda hold me back a little, but im gonna piece it together slowly but surely.

I feel like I want abit more power :drive: so I might look into getting an induction kit, exhaust and a cam to keep me going
