Im new to the forum, been registered to the forum for a while but aint posted. Previous owner of a DC2 96 Spec swapped to the EK9 for its rarity. But due to experiencing the b18c i have some mods planned

welcome buddy! How do u feel the civic compares to the dc2? I used to have a I'm one and a dc5. I feel the civic could do with a tad more power and torque. So tempted to do the 1.8 conversion

Yes the EK9 would definitely benefit with more power and torque. The B18c is one hell of an engine, even out of vtec it feels a lot better. But Theres not a a big difference between the EK9 and DC2 if the EK9's driven right. I feel the B18c is a more forgiving engine if caught out of vtec. Whereas in the EK9 your punished heavily if caught off guard. In my opinion the B18c conversion for the EK9 is a must. It'll be one hell of a car!

Handling wise i found the Dc2 to be more tailhappy, so you had to be careful and watch out for the lift off oversteer charecteristic it has. The EK9 does feel alot more planted.
