hi, my names wes, first of all, i love starlets lol, but also love hondas, i'm a member of some starlet forums, a lot of honda v toyota on there, and it gets pretty heated sometimes, but why does it have to be a versus thing!!! i love both. I had a 350bhp glanza, but got a craving for an ek9, swapped the glanza for a boosted ek9, only had it 4 days before it was stolen. So, now i've bought a plain minter ek9! and wanna see how far i can take it, without turboing it etc! anyway, look forward to lots of stupid questions from me :)
 
haha welcome along... was that the gun metal grey glanza??

same as myself don want a turbo see what can do with out one apparently b16b's can get to 220bhp with out turbo but hard to get it there

Yeh thats the one lol it was in the autotrader for a couple of weeks! Yeh my thoughts exactly, i'm fed up of the bother of turbos, had an s15 spec r too, which was way too hard on fuel! i'm totally new to the n/a tuning scene, before this it was jus stick on a bigger turbo, get a remap and instant power lol i was doing a bit of research, maybe a spoon b16b stroker kit for starters?! car has slipstreams, spoon coilovers, j's racing air intake, cold air feed etc

yep, jus took a few quick snaps, i haven't picked it up yet, just left a deposit. forgot to say it has a jasma 4 branch and spoon exhaust system, has a carbon bonnet sprayed white which i don't like, paint is cracking and i don't like bonnet pins! so i've an original bonnet lined up, also i have a clean set of black recaros from a dc2 in the shed, was thinking about putting them in! the front lights need to be replaced as they have condensation inside and are dull looking, finished off with a set of 4500k blue hids. my intention is to keep standard looks with emphasis on more power and handling, braking mods etc.

Nice motor!! black slipstreams really suit it! black dc2 recaros would be right at home in there! would you be interested in selling the origional red ones? oh and you can have a go at polishing the headlights with a special compound to take the dullness off them. seen a few members do it on here.. ill have a look for the thread for you..
 
has the condensation inside too though! ah i'll keep the red ones too lol
 
was looking at a spoon b16b stroker kit, dunno would i need any supporting mods though, would original fuelling be ok? also, how can you tell if there original spoon wheels or slipstreams, the seller seems to think there real, although he would!

iirc the spoon stroker kit is discontinued.. may be wrong though.. i would imagine rota would be printed on the inside of the wheel somewhere! altough it may not.. im sure theres a member on here that would be able to tell the difference...
 
i think there's still a couple of places that still sell it. Yeh there has to be some way to tell!

Lol thanks! Yeh he mentioned some lads txt about the wheels! I'll have to find out how to tell if there real or not, i wonder is there a weight difference between them and the slipstreams, ah i'll find out at some stage!
