Hi guys i have just bought an EK4 last month my previous car was a 1990 CRX i-vt and was a bit of a heavy oil burner as seen in the last picture.
I decided on the ek4 due to better comfort, space and tuning capability.
I picked up a 1996 3dr hatch for a good deal with Full Dealership Service History, every MOT document, no rust but a couple of slight dents on both front wings, a loose front bumper held on by tie backs and 125K on the clock. It has a tenso cold air intake and a powerflow full ss exhaust system. The car also had a ek9 ECU fitted to it. The previous owner gave me the original ek4 one and a 4-1 japspeed manifold and decat pipe.
Heres a few pictures from the ad:-
As soon as i got it home the plans for it started.
Started by cleaning the IACV valve causing rough idle.
The front lights were removed and the crome reflective casing was sprayed black also the rear lights were converted into ek9 replicas. I also carried out the DIY spoiler tilt and changed the cheap mugen grill for a oem EK9 one. Also new red Honda badges had been fitted. And the cluster trim carbon wrapped. I also removed the EK9 ECU and fitted the standard one back in, this was after checking the camshafts and them being standard B16A2, so there was no point in keeping the higher 9K rev limit.
Pic of modifications and how it looks today below.
Next thing in plan is Forced Induction with stock internals running 6-8 psi. Depending on Turbo size.
