Hello guys, recently sold my MB6 and picked up this EJ9. Already done some stuff to it but just haven't got round to featuring it on here :p

It came with an almost full service history and only 39000 miles on the clock!

Here's a picture from the advert:

First things first, while I was out in Glasgow picking it up I got in touch with Logan who I think is on here, and bought his Jordan wheels, fitted them later that night.

Finally some parts arrived:

Including some import plates

Went a wee road trip down to London, stopping in Weston super Mare and took a couple of photos in a car park:

Eventually got the EK9 replica parts sprayed up (rather badly) and fitted!

Finally got the balls to split and paint my headlights, turned out rather well!

Swapped the Jordan alloys for a set of EP3R seats, already modified to fit the EK bolt holes! What an improvement in comfort and support :)

Few cheap and cheerful additions!

Fitted clear side repeaters and just yesterday gave it a good wash, polish and wax using the Meguiars 3 step stuff

Got a few more plans for it, next payday I'll get a service kit as its due one, and hopefully order a set of Rota Slips for it. Going to sell the EK9 replica spoiler to help fund a Spoon carbon fibre one, then get it properly colour coded, fix up the bumpers and give them a respray.

Then after that buy the bits needed to fire in a B Series.

Cheers for looking, any comments and criticisms are welcome :p

Got bored yesterday, and decided to paint one of the wheels lol

Quite happy with the way it turned out, not planning on keeping these wheels so just wanted to see how different colours would look!

Also spent most of Saturday changing the springs, it's now lowered 35mm courtesy of Eibach springs!

That's some size cannon on the back mate haha, cars coming together nicely, looks like you have a good base car aswell, nice and clean and rot free by the looks of it :)

cars looking well mate good work :nice:

Cheers buddy! Once ive got a set of decent wheels on it will be almost finished :)

It is, got it for nothing so whacked it on haha, its not even that loud compared to others :p hope to get a spoon N1 at some point! It pretty much is rot free tiny bit of bubbling at the bottom of the nearside arch but ill get it sorted before it gets any worse :)

Awesome project you got there mate! What colour did you use on your headlights?

That is a great picture.

Not a huge fan of the massive exhaust, your plan of an N1 will set the car off nice.

Thanks, I've heard that a lot actually, just a shame that the mis-matched paint on the grill and lip kinda ruin it haha. Neither am I tbh, getting too old for fart cans now :p yeah, really hope to get it changed soon!

Cheers buddy! I used a can of "Rover Gunmetal" from Halfords and it worked a treat with a rub down with 1000 grit paper and grey primer.

Nice build, do you plan on painting the mirrors and side skirts in silver ?

Yeah that was the plan originally but ran out of paint doing the lips and grill! But it will get done eventually, soon hopefully! makes a huge difference :)

Just out of interest did you use rattle cans on the alloys and if so how many cans did it take to do? cheers :nice:

Aye just used a rattle can on that alloy, didnt use much would probably only need 2 or 3 cans for all 4 wheels done properly :)

Update time! Got my old Grids back off my mate who i sold my last EJ9 to, had them Powdercoated at Powdertec and 4 new T1Rs too
She's looking well if i do say so myself :)
